Our Staff Makes The Difference

The Hi-Rock Family

YMCA Camp Hi-Rock hires over 100 caring and dedicated American and international staff to work with our campers each summer. We have nearly twenty different countries represented amongst our staff and campers. Our staff members come from various backgrounds, from teachers to student leaders to tennis stars: each brings their unique perspective to the Hi-Rock community. Our staff are selected for their talent, enthusiasm, and ability to connect with, and set a positive example for, campers. Our diverse and welcoming community will quickly feel like a family and you will see why campers and staff call Hi-Rock their “home away from home.”

Training

Our summer staff members arrive on site in mid-June in order to further develop their skills through our staff development program. Counselors and general staff members participate in a week-long staff training while leadership team members participate in an additional week of staff training and leadership development. Competitive wages, room, and board are provided for all positions in resident camp and day camp, during training and throughout the summer.

Excellence Year-Round

Our dedicated team of directors lives at Hi-Rock year-round to serve groups and focus on making our summer programs the best that they can be. Our directors are joined by a team of caring and devoted staff members who work hard to bring the Hi-Rock experience to campers, groups and families: winter, spring, summer, and fall.
